چکیده
Peripheral neuropathy is associated with amputation risk among patients diabetes mellitus and critical limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). The association of adverse limb events has not been clearly defined in peripheral arterial disease (PAD) without or those intermittent claudication. Patients referred to a vascular surgery clinic for PAD were recruited from single center. Exclusion criteria documented history prior lower amputation. Screening used the Michigan Neuropathy Instrument. Scores >2 considered abnormal, scores >4 positive neuropathy. Limb-specific outcomes revascularization as well composite outcome including death modeled using time-to-event analysis. A total 86 recruited. mean age was 67 ± 10.2 years, 30% women, 24% Black. ankle-brachial index 0.74 0.3. symptoms at initial evaluation claudication 52% CLTI 38% patients. present 20% cohort significantly higher proportion diabetics (34% vs 3%; P = .0009). more common compared claudicants (36% 9%; .011). Forty (47%) reached amputation, revascularization, median time event 16 months. Abnormal Instrument examination increased (hazard ratio: 3.19; .0005) (Fig). significant presenting specialists have undiagnosed an death. Expanding screening visits may help identify risk. https://files.abstractsonline.com/CTRL/CB/A/555/A81/945/416/4A7/5E3/978/869/058/FD/g152_1.jpg.

Increased incidence of periprocedural complications among patients with peripheral vascular disease undergoing myocardial revascularization in the bypass angioplasty revascularization investigation.
BACKGROUND Risks of coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) or percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) may be different in the presence of peripheral vascular disease (PVD). METHODS AND RESULTS We analyzed outcomes of 550 patients with PVD enrolled in the Bypass Angioplasty Revascularization Investigation randomized trial and registry. Compared with 1770 patients without PVD...

BACKGROUND Surgical treatment of peripheral vascular disease (PVD) in dialysis patients is controversial. METHODS We examined the post-operative morbidity and mortality of surgical revascularization or amputation for PVD in a retrospective analysis of United States Renal Data System. Propensity scores for undergoing amputation were derived from a multivariable logistic regression model of amp...
